About Groundnut Oil
Who it suits, how we handle quality, and what to expect in everyday Indian cooking.
Product line: Groundnut Oil is a filtered groundnut (peanut) cooking oil distributed by Punam Oil Depo from Palitana, Gujarat. It is chosen for a naturally rich aroma, high MUFA content, and reliable performance in deep frying, tadka, and daily household meals. Pack details and current availability are confirmed when you enquire with our depot.
Who should use this oil
Home kitchens that cook Indian snacks and mains regularly — puri, vada, pakoda, sabzi, and dal tadka — will get the most from this oil. It is also suited to small eateries, canteens, and sweet shops that fry in volume and want a groundnut note customers recognise.
If you need a neutral-tasting refined oil for very light dishes only, consider our soyabean or sunflower lines instead. For very high-heat, long frying sessions, see palm oil.
Quality and processing
We supply this as a filtered cooking oil — clarified for kitchen use while keeping the character groundnut is known for. Key qualities we highlight on pack and in trade: Rich aroma · High MUFA. Oil is sourced and moved through our Palitana depot under standard edible-oil trading practices; producing units and licences for your pack can be checked via batch traceability.
Every pack carries a batch number. Use our factory locator to see the registered manufacturing facility, FSSAI licence reference, and related certifications for that production run before you buy or after you receive stock.
Best uses in the kitchen
Deep frying (samosa, kachori, bhajiya), shallow frying, and tempering are the primary uses. The oil carries a subtle nutty aroma that works well in Gujarati and wider Indian home cooking without overpowering spices.
For practical frying and storage notes, see the cooking tips section below or the full groundnut cooking guide.
Storage and shelf life
Store sealed in a cool, dark cupboard away from the stove and direct sun. Use the best-before date on your pack as the guide — do not use oil that smells rancid or looks very dark after storage.
Clouding after refrigeration can happen with groundnut oil and does not mean the oil is spoiled; bring to room temperature and shake gently before use if needed.
How to order from Punam Oil Depo
We sell from our Palitana depot — not through an online checkout on this site. Send an enquiry with the pack size and quantity you need, or call / WhatsApp during depot hours. We confirm price, stock, and pickup or delivery arrangements before your order is final.

Cooking tips for this oil
For daily cooking and deep-frying with Punam groundnut oil.
-
Storage
Keep the cap tight and store away from direct sunlight. Clouding after refrigeration is normal.
-
Frying
Reuse only if the oil stays clear and odour-free. Skim crumbs between batches.
-
Batch check
Use the pack batch number on our factory locator to confirm where this oil was bottled.
Groundnut Oil
- Ideal for deep-frying — its high smoke point (≈ 160 °C) handles repeated heating without breaking down.
- Adds a subtle nutty aroma to snacks like vada, pakoda, puri, and chutney variants.
- For tadka, let it heat until a mustard seed sizzles on contact — never let it smoke.
- Store in a cool, dark place; refrigeration may cause clouding but does not affect quality.
